StudyIn ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the StudyIn app ("the App"), how we use it, and the choices you have.Information We Do Not Collect
We do not ask for your name, phone number, physical address, or social media profiles, and no account creation is required to use the App. We do not use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA), we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell your information.Anonymous Authentication
When you first open the App, Google Firebase assigns a random anonymous account identifier. It is not based on your name, email, or phone number. The information described below is stored against this identifier.Information We Store
To provide the App's core features, we store the following against your anonymous identifier:Study session history, including session lengths and completion status
Quiz progress, including the questions you've answered, which topics you've studied and the mastery levels you've reached
Usage totals, including sessions completed, quizzes taken and study time
App settings, such as your selected exam, exam date and study modeThis information is stored using Google Firebase Firestore and is used to provide and improve the App.App Blocking
The App uses Apple's Family Controls framework to block and unblock the apps you choose. Apple gives us your selection only as opaque tokens, not app names. It is stored only on your device and never sent to our servers. We do record how many apps you selected, as a rounded range, for analytics.Analytics
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the App is used, for example which setup steps people complete, which subscription plans they choose, and whether they start a quiz. Analytics collects an app-instance identifier, general location derived from your IP address (not GPS or Location Services), app usage and diagnostic events, and in-app purchase events. This data is linked to your anonymous account identifier. It is used only to understand and improve the App, not for advertising.Subscriptions and Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple. We never receive your payment details. Apple notifies us when your subscription or free trial starts, renews, is cancelled, expires, or is refunded, including the plan and price. We store these notifications against your anonymous account to understand how subscriptions perform. Whether you have access to the App is decided by Apple's records on your device.Feedback
If you send feedback from the App, we store your message along with details that help us investigate it: app version, device model, iOS version, language/region, study mode and subscription status. Adding an email address is optional; if you add one, we use it only to reply to your feedback.Third-Party ServicesGoogle Firebase — anonymous authentication, data storage, cloud functions and analytics. OpenAI — used to generate quiz questions on demand. When questions are generated, the exam, subject, topic and difficulty level are sent to OpenAI. No personal information, account identifier or email is included. OpenAI's privacy policy: openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
Apple — subscriptions and billing through the App Store, and Family Controls for app blocking. Apple's privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy.Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your anonymous account is in use. Deleting the App removes the data stored on your device. To have the data on our servers deleted, contact us at the address below.Children's Privacy
The App is designed for high-school students preparing for exams such as the SAT and ACT. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, such as an email address in feedback, contact us and we will delete it.Your Rights and Choices
You can ask us to access or delete the data associated with your account, or any email address you have sent us, by contacting us. Deleting the App resets your anonymous identifier on that device. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID settings.Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will note significant changes by updating the date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.Contact Us
